Flutist & Educator: My Story
Flute Instructor,
Chloe H. Shin

I am a professionally trained flutist with a strong educational background and extensive performance experience. I majored in flute at an arts high school and a music college in Korea, and later earned my Master’s degree in Music Education from the Graduate School of Education.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of performing with various orchestras and was honored to be a prizewinner at the Korean Philharmonic Orchestra Competition. I have also given solo recitals and participated in a wide range of ensemble performances, exploring repertoire that spans from Baroque and Classical to Romantic and Modern works. These experiences have deepened my artistry and versatility as a performer. In addition, I have gained valuable insights through masterclasses with renowned flutists and guidance from some of Korea’s most esteemed mentors, all of which have shaped my musical journey.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching flute. I have taught at private schools in Korea and have also guided countless students through private lessons. From beginners to advanced players preparing demanding repertoire, I have helped students grow according to their goals and musical level.

I believe that every student has unique qualities and strengths. That is why I value personalized instruction, creating a supportive environment where music remains a joyful and rewarding experience.

Many of my students have achieved great success in auditions and competitions, but what I treasure most is seeing them grow, discover their own potential, and find happiness through music. My goal as a teacher is to continue supporting students on their musical journey and to share with them the profound joy that music can bring.
